Ni'Yesha Brown is originally from San Jose, California and currently resides in Fresno, California. She has been involved in athletics since third grade and spent years developing as a competitive volleyball and basketball athlete. Her athletic journey took her from Junior College Basketball to Division I Volleyball, where she competed through her senior year of college. Throughout those years, athletics shaped her discipline, leadership, confidence, and understanding of what it means to perform under pressure. For much of her athletic career, Ni'Yesha faced a challenge many athletes know all too well: attaching her identity to performance. As competition became a larger part of her life, it became easy to define herself by how she played rather than who she was. Wins felt validating. Setbacks felt personal. The pressure to perform often overshadowed everything else. Over time, she learned one of the most important lessons of her life:
Confidence should never depend on performance, and personal worth should never come from a sport.
A defining moment came during the summer before her senior year of college. Coming off a championship season, expectations were higher than ever. She felt pressure to lead, pressure to perform, and pressure to help carry a team capable of making another championship run.
That season taught her that leadership doesn't mean carrying everything by yourself. It means learning how to lead without losing yourself in the process.
This experience shaped her core belief:
Athletes are at their best when they understand their value is greater than their performance.
When athletes stop allowing statistics, wins, losses, and outside expectations to determine their self-worth, they create room for real confidence, growth, and fulfillment.
Today, Ni'Yesha helps athletes build confidence, manage pressure, strengthen their identity beyond sport, and create direction for life after athletics.

Ni'Yesha believes athletes should pursue excellence while staying grounded in who they are as people. Her goal is to help current and former athletes develop the confidence needed to navigate pressure while remaining connected to themselves throughout every stage of life.
Ni'Yesha brings a calm, supportive, and empowering coaching style that emphasizes listening, accountability, and personal growth.
When someone comes to her for help, her goal isn't simply to give advice. She wants athletes to leave conversations with a deeper understanding of themselves and the realization that the strength they need already exists within them.
Athletes working with Ni'Yesha can expect:
■ genuine listening
■ honest accountability
■ practical guidance
■ support through difficult transitions
■ confidence-building conversations
■ a balanced approach to growth
Her coaching focuses on helping athletes trust themselves, trust the process, and continue moving forward even during difficult seasons.
Ni'Yesha's coaching philosophy is built on both lived experience and education.
She understands:
■ what it feels like to compete at a high level
■ the pressure athletes place on themselves
■ how easy it is to attach identity to performance
■ the responsibility of leadership
■ navigating championship expectations
■ balancing excellence with personal well-being
She also understands something many people outside athletics often miss:
Athletes experience emotional highs and lows that can dramatically impact confidence and self-worth. Too often, athletes allow statistics and outcomes to define who they are. Ni'Yesha helps athletes separate their identity from performance while continuing to pursue excellence.
"I understand what it feels like to carry expectations, compete under pressure, and feel responsible for the outcome.
I've experienced championship seasons, leadership challenges, and moments where I had to learn who I was beyond the game.
What I discovered is that confidence isn't built through performance alone. Confidence comes from understanding your value regardless of the result.
My goal is to help athletes trust themselves, build confidence from within, and create a life they are proud of both during and after sports.
Your sport is an important chapter of your story, but it was never meant to be your entire identity."
"Athletes struggle most when they feel unsupported."
"Athletes grow the most when they are held accountable while also being supported."
"My goal is to help athletes become leaders of their own lives"
Outside of coaching, Ni'Yesha enjoys slowing down and reconnecting through music, cooking, drawing, and crossing experiences off her personal bucket list.
She enjoys exploring new experiences, pushing herself outside her comfort zone, and finding balance beyond athletics.
Fun Fact: Ni'Yesha has swam with a dolphin. The experience reminded her to stay present, curious, and open to opportunities beyond expectations and fear.
Ni'Yesha's journey has always been shaped by being a student-athlete.
